MANI MONDAY :: Celebrating Women's History v.1

Hola Everyone! Welcome back! For the month of March, in honor of Women's History Month, each Monday I will be posting a mani of a year. A simple mani to celebrate achievements by women and to hopefully, inspire others on their journey. For this first Monday, I used colors "Investment" and "Get to Work". Put together, these colors remind us that once you invest in your dream, you have to work on at it. You have to get to work in order to make the investment work. One such female has embodied this-- Sara Blakely, the founder of Spanx. In 2012, she became the youngest self-made female billionaire. (Let us all clap in unison for Ms. Blakely!!!). Sara invested $5,000 and got to work. If she invested $5,000 on her idea and never followed through, imagine all the dresses we wouldn't wear.  Forbes currently estimates her net worth at $1 billion! Once again, let's clap for Ms. Blakely!!

"I made a conscious decision not to tell anyone in my life. Now I tell people--don't tell anyone your idea until you have invested enough of yourself in it that you are not going to turn back. When a person has an idea at the conception moment, it is the most vulnerable-- one negative comment could knock you off course"-- Sara Blakely
